FLOP OF A WEEK

Well this week was a sorta flop lol, with daughter in reading university still, the boys and I stayed out a few days to shop lol. I never spent much but more then i should of and more then planned lol.

Also the street preformers is on this weekend in Grande Prairie. It started on Friday and end Sunday at 5. SO i took the kids on Friday right after i picked daughter up from her graduation of the reading university. The kids were having a good time and we were not keeping a eye on the clock lol and next thing you knew and it was 5 already lol. So i called hubby and we decided to meet at Wendys for supper before he had to go to his part time job.

Today I worked at the farmers market till 3 and got some not so good but free goodies lol, now i know why they were giving them away lol. The one thing i am shocked at is that people buy her baking week after week. I may be a little biast but man my cooking is better lol at least it has some taste. But anyways after i got home hubbie had to go to work so the boys and I decided to go to the festivle again( daughter was at a sleep over)Well the kids got hungry so we shared 2 hot dogs and then they thought that they should have some mini donuts lol. I am so glad that they didn;t want everything and they had a good time.

Next week i am hoping that it is a better week and i stick to the plan and stay well with in budget.

FLOP OF A SUPPER

Well tonights supper was the cranberry pork and well like the title says it was a flop. It smelled good when i was preparing it and after a full day out it smelled awsome when i opened the door. But when i tasted it it was eh lol it was dry and sweet and a put in the never again pile lol
The recipie is as follows
2 pieces of pork tenderloin
a can of cranberry sauce, i used the jelly
3/4 of the same can of chili sauce, not the one in the ethnic ilse
2 table spoons of brown sugar

Place the tenderloin in the slow cooker, i cut them in half, and mix all ingredients together in a small bowl. Pour mixture over pork and put lid on. Cook for 7 to 8 hours on low.
I think you can actually double the pork in this recipie as there was lots of mixture.
I think if i had more pork and cooked it a bit less it might have been a worthy recipie lol
Tryer beware
Have a good night everyone

FAMILY UPDATE

Well as you all know hubbie works a full time job and a part time job. We found out that his part time job was going to be closing its doors, they said that they would let them know when there last 14 days were. Well they found out yesterday that they will be closing in 8 days, a week from today will be his last day.
We knew it was coming but didn't realize how fast it was.

I would love it for hubbie to not have to work a part time job on the weekend so we are gonna give it a whirl and see how much money we can save in our already tight budget. I know that he will have to find another part time job sooner then later but a break would be nice. He already is going to be home for when I go to Jubilee in Orlando in 3 weeks so a few more weeks after that home will be a nice change of pace.

Yes it may be extremely tight but i think we can do it we will just have to really wtch what and how we spend, cut things out that we really don;t need, and not take the kids shopping lol heck even hubbie just kidding.

Please join me on this journey to come and if you have any tips I would love to hear them.

I AM BACK

Sorry everyone, i kinda took a hiatis with blogging. Life got in the way lol.
Well i am back.

It is time to start getting on track again and to stop spending stupidly. In the past while we haven;t, or shall i say i haven't, been keeping track of money or even just making a menu.
I will be starting again with both, i have to empty my deep freeze so should be interesting lol. I am headed to Orlando Florida in about 3 weeks time, by myself, so i am going to premake meals so my kids won't starve or live on take out lol. You see hubbie does not cook, he does not even prepare, he can reheat or cook frozen chicken nuggets, but i think the kids would get awful sick of these.
So my mission over the next 3 weeks is to empty the freezer as much as possible and to spend a limited amount of cash. The kids are home, well 3 are, my daughter is in Readin university during the day till this Friday. So i will have to be creative some days lol.
Tonight i will be looking through the freezer and pantry for meal ideas. Then i will make the weekly menu and make a shopping list.
Please join me again on my mission.
